Meet at Lea Bridge Station entrance on Argall Way

Linear walk to Victoria Park with public transport back home or start.

About 2 hours, mainly firm, level ground


Autumn Woods

Sunday 15 October 2.30pm

Repeated Tuesday 17 October

Meet at Whipps Cross where 56 buses terminate, near the war memorial and Forest View Avenue.

About 2 hours, partly along rough muddy woodland paths.  A linear route finishing at Woodford Green (bus back to start).

Meet at Chingford Station entrance

Linear walk of about 1 ¼ hours with public transport back to the start, mainly firm surfaces but mud a possibility.


From the Ching valley to the Roding valley

Repeated Sunday 12 November 2.30pm

Meet outside Chingford Station

Linear walk of about 2 hours finishing at Chigwell Station (Central Line), some soft, muddy woodland paths near the start and in the middle, with some fairly steep slopes to climb.  


Walthamstow Wetlands

Repeated Sunday 3 December 2.30pm

Meet outside Tottenham Hale Station

About 2 hours, firm level surfaces with option of soft steep slopes


Winter Solstice Walk

Thursday 21 December

1.30pm from the Eagle Pond, Snaresbrook Road (by W12 bus stop SM near junction with Rivenhall Gardens)

3pm from outside the Cottage Café, Leyton Green

Linear walk to Lea Bridge (Princess of Wales pub); 1st part includes muddy and uneven ground;  2nd part on firm surfaces but includes a footbridge.
